YOUR TREE IS PLANTED IN

WABASHA LAKE TOWNSHIP

MINNESOTA

ABOUT THE SITE

Wabasha is a 7 acre direct hardwood seeding and tree planting project. Species mix includes red oak, white oak, walnut, shagbark hickory, hackberry, and butternut.

This planting site will benefit wildlife species like turkey, deer, blue jays, squirrels, and others that depend on mast production from nut bearing trees.

Ultimately this site will become a “working forest,” meaning we will be using a variety of silvicultural techniques to sustainably manage the site and keep it healthy and forested well into the future. Over the lifetime of a forest rotation, the techniques used may include tree planting, timber stand improvement to remove undesirable vegetation, thinning, and invasive species eradication.
