LASER OPERATOR 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for setting up and operating up to 5 Kern and Epilog lasers to cut wood, metal and acrylics while achieving production efficiency goals. This hire will be half of a team of two people we are hiring to staff one of three different shifts. Between laser jobs, operator will be responsible for pre-production of materials and assembly of finished products.

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembly of proprietary products from pre-cut materials
  • Willingness to learn new tasks as our business expands
  • Follow established processes
  • Understand and use required safety equipment
  • Organize multiple assigned tasks independently or with a team
  • Cross-train and support other production departments
  • Handle all company and customer information confidentially
  • Inform supervisor of problems or issues which affect the companies' ability to meet customer requirements
  • Oversee quality control
  • Read and understand job sheet paperwork
  • Comply with all general work rules including housekeeping, safety and quality

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must show up to work promptly and work throughout entire assigned shift
  • Ability to lift and handle wood, metal and acrylic pieces up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment
  • Able to perform repetitive motions and must have strong finger dexterity
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Laser cutting experience
  • Preferred: Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

HOURS EXPECTATIONS

Full-Time, Hourly, $12-$14 / hr starting
